Supply chain start-up in the spotlight: Pelico
Pelico was founded in Paris, France, in 2019, by a team of engineers coming from both the artificial intelligence (AI) and the industrial operations worlds. The start-up has set out to tackle the increasing complexity and volatility in today’s supply chains and the resulting operational disruption. This new data-driven approach to supply chain management helps operational teams to cut through the fog of uncertain operations and achieve predictable outputs.
By unifying data from various sources and transforming it into meaningful business concepts, including through the use of AI, Pelico aligns teams over a common view of operations. This enables them to anticipate problems, act fast and synchronize on key business priorities.
Pelico has been shown to improve delivery times and reduce operational costs thanks to avoiding disruptions and expensive last-minute solutions. It also increases the company’s profitability by optimizing inventory management and improving customer satisfaction, not to mention by providing solid information as the basis for assessing the potential impact of any decisions and changes. Last but not least, since supply chain teams are no longer constantly in fire-fighting mode, the day-to-day stress is reduced.
Pelico currently has 25 employees and the solution is already being used by various manufacturing companies, especially in the aerospace & defence, industrial equipment, medical equipment and automotive sectors. In 2021, Pelico was accepted into France’s Generate Incubator.
