Groenewout acquired by Germany’s EPG Consulting
Dutch supply chain consulting firm Groenewout is being acquired by the German firm EPG Consulting. By joining forces, the two companies hope to further strengthen their market position and expand their client portfolio, both in the Benelux region and internationally.
The acquisition will generate strong synergies since the two companies complement one another, according to their joint press release. Groenewout’s current offices in the Dutch city of Breda will form the basis for the further expansion of their activities together. The management team will comprise Alain Beerens (Director of Groenewout, pictured centre) and Marcel Wilhelms (Director and Managing Director of EPG Consulting, pictured right, with Marco Ehrhardt, President of EPG, pictured left). Groenewout will be positioned in the market as part of EPG.
The Breda-based company was founded in 1966 and is active in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. “Groenewout combines its expertise in supply chain, logistics and CM&E into a great total package, which is a perfect complement to our own service offering,” states Wilhelms. “We see growing demand for total planning and realization, especially when it comes to automation solutions. In addition, it is becoming increasingly important to develop logistics real estate – and the associated logistics solutions – precisely in accordance with customer requirements.”
Excellent network
Moreover, the Dutch consulting firm has an excellent network in the European and international market, according to Wilhelms: “We see huge development potential that can also open up new consulting segments for us, such as in the field of transport management. In line with our new TMS Consulting business area, Greenplan gives EPG Consulting the right solution to provide comprehensive advice and project optimization and implementation.”
Groenewout Director Alain Beerens adds: “Over the past 55 years or more, Groenewout has grown into a successful consulting firm specialized in logistics and supply chain. We have a strong market position and can now further develop as part of EPG Consulting to present an even better service offering to all our clients.”
