Supply chain scale-up in the spotlight: Sweep

Sweep

Sweep wants companies to see carbon not as a limitation, but rather as a creative force for innovation and positive growth. Therefore, it is helping customers to confront carbon to get their unique climate journey on-track. The scale-up’s mission is to help businesses to measure and act on their carbon, so they can become a ‘forever company’.

Underlining its commitment to being a business that’s good for everyone, including society and the planet, the company has B-Corp status and is an entreprise à mission, monitored and guided by its own committee. Sweep’s software tackles the complex data and network challenges related to carbon, in full compliance with the latest reporting standards.

Real-time view of supply chain emissions

Created with cross-disciplinary and cross-company collaboration in mind, the platform provides a real-time view of supply chain emissions, helping businesses – both manufacturers and retailers – to identify emission hotspots and prioritize climate action together with their suppliers. This supports data-driven decision-making to effectively reduce Scope 3 emissions and realize feasible goals while managing future growth.

40 million tonnes of CO2 emissions are already under management on the platform, and 30,000 emission factors are stored and maintained in its database. The scale-up claims that managing carbon data with Sweep can lead to average time savings of 45%, and its customer portfolio includes the likes of Prose, Withings, Swisscom, Saint-Gobain and Ubisoft.

Since being founded in Paris, France, in 2020, Sweep has already raised over €100 million in capital and employs over 90 people around the world.
